SAMI’s outdoor programs are a huge part of what makes this school special — from the 9th‑grade Outdoor Ed class to rock climbing, advanced trail, and the annual backpacking trip that so many students describe as life‑changing. These experiences simply cannot exist into the future without fundraising, and that’s where our Booster Club comes in.

We’re building a small planning team of parents who want to help sustain and grow these opportunities for our students. This upcoming meeting is not a brainstorming session — we’ll be walking through the Booster Club site, outlining the specific fundraising activities already planned for the rest of the year, and inviting parents to take leadership roles in the areas that match their strengths and availability.

The Fundraising Planning call will be February 26 at 7pm. 

The initiatives we’ll be organizing around include:
• A spring fundraising evening event for SAMI parents
• Launching a SAMI clothing store on the Booster Club website
• One or more student‑involved fundraising efforts (like “passing the hiking boot” at pickup)
• Community sponsorships and long‑term partner relationships (REI, etc)
• Social media promotion (Facebook, Instagram, parent engagement)
• Membership outreach to grow annual and one‑time donations
