why sami booster club?

The SAMI Booster Club is part of Elements of Education, a Tacoma-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to enriching lives through creativity, inclusion, and the integration of art and science. Elements of Education emphasizes four pillars—Empathy, Community, Balance, and Thinking—and supports innovative school models like SAMI that blend academics with experiential learning.

The Booster Club is run by a small team of parent volunteers. If you are interested in helping, please contact us here.

All donations and memberships are tax deductible, and go directly to support SAMI outdoor programs.

The SAMI Booster Club helps sustain SAMI’s complete outdoor education pathway, which includes an Outdoor Education class for every 9th grader, advanced trail classes for upperclassmen, a rock climbing program, and an annual backpacking trip in the Cascades with 25 students each June. These experiences require significant resources to be done safely, and the Booster Club ensures that students have access to the gear, instruction, and support needed. In doing so, we directly advance Elements of Education’s mission to provide high-quality, real-world learning opportunities that nurture student passions and prepare them to contribute meaningfully to their communities.
